FOSTER INFORMATION

Dogs arrive by the dozens at area shelters every day: helpless dogs who are sick, injured or abused, puppies who are too young for adoption, great dogs that no one had time for, and pets whose families are in crisis. Daily, we are forced to turn away these dogs because we do not have enough foster homes to accommodate them. Please consider fostering. You may be asked to give a few days or weeks of your time, but to the dog who benefits, it means a lifetime.

What Types of Dogs Need Foster Care?

We are non breed specific. Dogs in our program range from puppies to seniors. Some may be injured, need heart-worm treatment, need a quiet place to heal from surgery or simply need some time to decompress from life in the shelter. We place dogs according to your comfort level and lifestyle. If you can only foster females or males or puppies, that's ok. Most of us have kids so we know the importance of the dog being "kid friendly". We want our fosters to thoroughly enjoy this experience along with your family.  Our motto is "if we would not place a dog in our home with our family, why would we expect you to".  Fostering is the most rewarding experience and we hope you take the plunge and join our team!

foster home expectations:

Rescue Row will pay for all vetting expenses and provide you with all of the supplies you will need to care for the dog. We just ask you to provide possible veterinary trips, adoption events, and of course the love they deserve.

We ask that your current pets are all up to date on vaccinations, heart-worm prevention and spayed/neutered.
